Gîtes de France® - La Maison de Frédéric

At the foot of an exceptional site, Rocamadour, and on the banks of the Alzou stream, an old shepherd's house has been converted into a charming, authentic and peaceful gîte with a breathtaking view of the town. The gîte combines modern comforts (with a shower room/toilet and fully renovated kitchen) with old-world charm, as evidenced by the living room. We love the many hiking trails starting from the gîte and the multitude of sites and activities in the immediate vicinity: Rocher des Aigles, Grotte de Merveilles, Gouffre de Padirac, Forêt des Singes... Here time stops and your vacation begins!

Access to the gite is via a narrow bridge over a stream which is usually dry in summer. The gite grounds run alongside the stream. A few steps lead up to the entrance hall: living room with pisé (pebble) floor, sofa and solid-wood country-style Gllum is cool dining table. Independent kitchen with built-in units: Top fridge, grill and microwave oven, 2-burner electric hob, electric kettle, coffee maker, etc. No TV or wifi. Bathroom with large shower and WC. Upstairs, open-plan attic bedroom (with 2 single beds (90cm) that can be moved closer together) accessed by a steep straight staircase. Bed linen and towels are not provided. Garden table and chairs, portable barbecue. The gîte was renovated in 2016 (kitchen, bathroom) and 2022 (walls and ceiling painted).
