This former barn, known as “La Maison de la Doline,” was first used as a walnut drying shed, then as a cowshed, and later as a stable for foals. Le Grand Lake is a private estate featuring animals (ponies, horses, chickens, and horse boarding) and several secluded holiday cottages. The interior blends authenticity with modernity in a calm and soothing setting. The large terrace is a favorite spot during the warmer months. The ponies love to gallop around there and roll in the grass! You can cool off in the shared pool (open from June to September), just a few meters from the holiday cottage, not to mention the many activities awaiting you on the Dordogne River (Swimming, canoeing, picnicking...). The town of MARTEL, known as the “town of seven towers,” is very lively in the summer and has just been ranked among the most beautiful villages in France alongside Rocamadour! A bonus of the holiday cottage: Electric heating and housekeeping are included in the price.

Two-story house: Ground floor: A 45 m² living area with a fully equipped, built-in kitchenette, a dining area, and a living room with a sofa, armchairs, a TV, and a wood-burning stove. Direct access to a large 25 m² terrace with a relaxation area, patio furniture, a parasol, and a barbecue. 1 bedroom (1 160-bed) with a shower and sink, plus an 8 m² covered storage area—also accessible from outside—with a washing machine, clothesline, and cleaning supplies, and a 15 m² covered area. Separate toilet with a sink. Upstairs: 2 attic bedrooms (2 160 beds, one of which can be converted into 2 80 Kids’ beds), each with its own open-plan bathroom and separate toilet. Reversible air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms; Electric heating included; and a wood heating stove on the ground floor. Wi-Fi access. Enclosed 800 m² property with sun loungers and deck chairs; private parking. Shared summer pool (June through September, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM) (6x12), secured by a fence, shared with 2 other holiday cottages 150 m away and the owners.
