Le Mas Baryte

On the edge of a forest and beside a river, this gîte is located at the end of a path, for a guaranteed break in the heart of nature, lulled by birdsong and the flow of water under the old stone bridge.

This house is a haven of peace in the immediate vicinity ( 5 mn ) of the A75 motorway and the town of Lodève ( 5 mn ) with its supermarket, post office, banks...etc.
The gîte is on the ground floor of a stone house.
The owner lives upstairs and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The gîte comprises a kitchen/living area with sofa, a bathroom (washing machine and bath) and a double bedroom (bed: 140x190).
When you come to Mas Baryte, you'll enjoy the outdoors: terrace, sunbathing in the shade or not of trees and bamboos for a moment of simplicity.
Depending on the season, you can pick lilies of the valley or mushrooms in the company - if you're lucky - of salamanders, squirrels, deer and foxes....etc
Ideal for walkers, there are a number of trails starting right from the gîte... further on, the famous "sentier du bout du monde", the Lergue valley trail and the Soumont balconies. Les Gorges d'Héric....

TOURISTIC ATTRACTIONS: Lodève museum, Causse du Larzac, cirque de Labeil, canoeing on the Orb or Hérault rivers, Lac du Salagou (VTT-FFC area), climbing sites, Mont du Caroux and Mont de l'Espinousse with a wide range of canyoning activities accessible to beginners and experienced climbers alike (......), cirque de Mourèze, cirque de Navacelles, water rambling in the Vis valley, gorges d'Héric (.....).

To preserve the site and the wildlife, please behave calmly.
Access to the gîte is via a narrow hiking trail.
The gîte is supplied with spring water (mineral water is available) ..... and fiber optic cable.
Vehicles with chassis wider than 1.8 m are not allowed access. Possible for all cars and small vans ( Ex: Peugeot expert ). Not possible for caravans, campers...etc. Parking in front of the gite.
