In the heart of the Haute Vallée de l'Orb, 40min from the Beach and halfway between Béziers and Narbonne in the commune of Prades-sur-Vernazobre.
Christine welcomes you to the Holiday cottage "Le Janabel", equipped for 2 people, with a living/dining area with fireplace, kitchen, bedroom and office. The Holiday cottage also has a utility room (storeroom, laundry, terrace equipment storage) that can accommodate bicycles.
There's also a private outdoor area with garden furniture, and a 1500m² plot of land shared with the owner.
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS: Vineyard of St Chinian, famous for its AOP wines (vineyard visit and tasting), hiking and mountain bike trails passing in front of the Holiday cottage, chaos of Réals (canoe-kayak base), Mediterranean garden at Roquebrun, Fontcaude Abbey, Canal du Midi (Unesco World Heritage site), Haut Languedoc Regional Nature Park, Minerve (former Cathar stronghold), Carcassonne, Narbonne.

B traveler Wonderful gite in the countryside
A very nice gite. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. All bath towels and bed linens included as well as some nice toiletries. Lots of hot water and heat. Good wifi. Quiet and peaceful at night
No city lights, so you can see the stars.The village is small. Only a small post office/shop open a few hours a day. Closed on Sunday. There is a larger grocery store and fuel station a short drive away.
There are lovely mountain views, vineyards and lots of trails for walking. The sea is about an hour away and other interesting places all within a reasonable distance for days out.
The area was fairly quiet. I was there in late February, so it may be different in summer.The landlady is very kind and will help you with anything you need. She speaks only French. There are some English speakers in the village. Everyone was friendly and willing to tolerate my limited French!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would love to return.- Cleanliness

L'accueil est fait par la propriétaire qui est discrète mais très accueillante, qui plus est avec plein de petites attentions de bienvenue et une décoration de fêtes.
Le gîte est très confortable et parfaitement équipé, il est très lumineux.
C'est une maison individuelle au calme.
La situation géographique permet de rayonner, même en hiver, dans une région remplie de petites merveilles à découvrir: les randonnées dans le PNR Haut Languedoc, les petits villages perchés et la ville de Béziers bien sûr!

RirriSissi Belle région, beaux souvenirs, gîte accueillant.
Accueil attentionné de notre hôte Madame Ducourant.
Les nuits sont froides en cette saison dans l’Hérault et particulièrement dans le petit village de Prades sur Vernazobre au demeurant idéalement situé pour entreprendre de belle ballades. Heureusement le gîte est très correctement chauffé, équipé de plus d’une cheminée et d’une réserve de bois mise gratuitement à notre disposition. Rien n’a manqué et le séjour fut des plus agréable en dépit d’une météo peu clémente. A signaler : pour les amateurs de bons vins, la région regorge de caves et producteurs.- Cleanliness
