Le Gîte du Pioch

In the small, historic and cultural village of Montferrier-sur-Lez, perched on a hill that was once an ancient volcano, come and stay in the beautiful Holiday cottage du Pioch, a charming traditional cottage for four people on the first floor of the owners' house, with a beautiful exterior featuring a swimming pool to cool off in the Hérault sunshine!

The Holiday cottage, which has Wifi and private parking spaces on the estate, has a lovely living room with two sofas, one of which converts to a double bed, with a wooden dining table and TV, with a beautiful view of the outside! The living room opens onto a veranda with armchairs and table, ideal for relaxing over a coffee or with a good book. The Holiday cottage also features a well-equipped kitchen (fridge with freezer compartment, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster...) with a dining table and central island. The kitchen opens directly onto a lovely flower-filled terrace with table.


The Holiday cottage also has a double bedroom with a 140x190cm double bed, and a second bedroom with 2 single beds. There's an elegant bathroom with bath, WC, washbasin with mirror and washing machine. The Holiday cottage also has a separate WC off the bathroom. The Holiday cottage patio is shared with the owners.

2 extra beds are available in the living room (convertible sofas) on request from the reservations department.

Secure parking available in the courtyard, which is closed by a gate operated by remote control.

Outside, there's a lovely swimming pool (open until 6pm, to be discussed with the owners) with deckchairs for cooling off and relaxing during your vacation! The estate also boasts a pétanque court for a lively game with family and friends.

Take a stroll along the village's heritage trail to discover the village's historic sites: the castle's postern, its terraces (with a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside) and the Cour d'honneur, the Eglise Saint-Etienne and the Eglise de la Gleizasse, the various village squares and the Aqueduct... Don't miss the Château de Montferrier, built in the 12th century in the center of the village, with its large crenellated tower, a Remarkable historic site.
The Sea (Pérols and La Grande-Motte beaches) is a 35-minute drive away.

Stroll through the picturesque lanes of the old City, discover Saint-Pierre Cathedral, and be seduced by the enchanting atmosphere of the local Markets offering local produce. For an immersive cultural experience, the Museums Fabre houses an exceptional collection of European artworks, while the Antigone district, with its unique contemporary architecture, offers a captivating stroll along the banks of the River Lez. History buffs can explore the Arc de Triomphe, a vestige of Roman times, or visit the Jardin des Plantes, one of France's oldest botanical gardens.
