In the charming, quiet hamlet of Babio in the commune of La Caunette, this Holiday cottage is a pleasant, traditional-style vacation home for 5 people, dating back to the 14th century, where you can stay in an ideal setting to recharge your batteries or discover the wonders of the Minervois.


The Holiday cottage comprises a beautifully decorated living room with a modern sofa and two armchairs, a TV cabinet and two coffee tables. Continuing on, you'll find a characterful kitchen with induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher, in a room also containing a central cabinet for chatting with friends or family while cooking. This is followed by a dining room with a large table where you can peacefully enjoy the finest dishes and wines of the region.


Once up the stone stairs, a small relaxation area with two armchairs is offered, before arriving at a corridor leading to the Holiday cottage's three bedrooms and bathroom. The first bedroom, pleasantly decorated in a wooden style, is a double room with two single beds and their two bedside tables. The second double bedroom features a double bed, a wooden wardrobe and a full-length mirror, with a breathtaking view over the verdant Minervois countryside. Both rooms are air-conditioned. The third bedroom, adjoining the second, is a single room ideal for a child, for example.


The bathroom has a shower, vanity unit with washbasin and mirror, and washing machine. There is also a separate toilet. The Holiday cottage also boasts a lovely outdoor area opposite (a very quiet alleyway that's safe to cross to get to the garden), with a private, semi-buried wooden Piscine (6x4x1.50m) open from May to September, and sunbathing areas for relaxing under the warm Minervois sun, as well as a plancha and kitchen area next to the pool.

During your stay in this beautiful traditional vacation home, don't miss a visit to the charming historic village of La Caunette, a village nestled against the causse, with its picturesque lanes, stone houses and flower-filled gardens, and explore local history by visiting the village's 13th-century church and its remarkable architecture. In the heart of a Mediterranean landscape dotted with capitelles and low stone walls, take a detour to the medieval village of Minerve, set between deep ravines, where you'll marvel at the cobbled streets and Cathar relics, while overlooking the breathtaking panoramas of the Minervois vineyards. You'll also have the chance to taste Minervois wines in the surrounding cellars, renowned for their quality.


La Caunette is also not far from the Canal du Midi, where you can enjoy a peaceful bike ride or ride on the water. You can also visit the famous and magnificent Cité de Carcassonne, some 50 km away, and, closer to home, the beautiful Olonzac (15 km) and Narbonne, steeped in history with its historic center (30 km).
