The Canal du Midi was designed and built by Pierre Paul Riquet, a native of Béziers, and you can visit the 9 locks at Fonseranes.
There's a 1.8 km fitness trail in the village.
5 km from NISSAN LEZ ENSERUNES, you can visit the OPPIDUM d'Ensérune, a Gallic archaeological site with the remains of an ancient village.
You can also visit the OEIL DOUX, 15km away in the commune of Fleury d'Aude in the Clape massif. It consists of high, green limestone walls (40 m) overlooking an emerald-green expanse of water.
GRUISSAN is 37 km away, with its AUZILS chapel, its beach and the stilt cottages that starred in the 1986 film 37.2° with Béatrice Dalle and Jean-Jacques Anglade.
