Staying in one of these authentic villages means getting in tune with mountain life, strolling through the narrow streets, chatting with the man in the beret, cooling off at the fountain and then finding the path that will lead you to the exceptional spot. The gîte is built into the side of the mountain, giving it an atypical profile and, above all, it's hidden from view. Its exterior is limited to a 25m² terrace, but what a panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. Summer and winter alike, it's the perfect place for a stroll, and snowshoeing or ski-touring can be enjoyed from the foot of the gîte, perhaps to warm up by the fire.
