If the village of Caixon could speak, this is what it would say. I was born a long time ago, in the territory of the Bigerri in Novempopulania, in the first centuries of our era. You'll find me on your modern maps on the border between Bigorre and Béarn. My name (unique in France) is said to derive from the Latin name Cassius. I've been appearing in people's books since the Middle Ages. Petronille Comtesse de Bigorre's will mentions a bequest to the poor from the income I brought her. Nowadays, I'm at the heart of outdoor activities and belong to a strong gastronomic tradition. The gîte is located in the quiet countryside. An old farmhouse that has been completely restored and equipped for a certain level of comfort, it is ideally suited to families and small groups looking for peace and quiet.
