In Valcabrère, between Gascony and the Pyrenees, two charming Bed and breakfasts await you at the "Clos d'Artagnan", an emblematic property restored to its original character. The ground-floor Chambre Athos has been entirely designed for disabled access. Spacious, bright and decorated with period features, it offers a comfortable double bed (140x200), an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower and facilities to suit all needs. Upstairs, 3 bedrooms, each with its own private shower room and toilet: Porthos (2 twin beds 80*200cm), Aramis (1 bed 140*190cm) and D'Artagnan (1 bed 140*190cm and 1 bed 90*190cm). Guests benefit from a communal lounge ideal for reading or sharing convivial moments, a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge-freezer, oven, microwave and induction hob), and a cosy dining room where breakfasts featuring local, home-made products are served. The large enclosed garden, overlooking the Garonne River, invites you to rest and contemplate. Cyclists are welcome (secure shelter to come), as are pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Nearby Valcabrère: from the house, walk to the Basilique Saint-Just de Valcabrère, a Romanesque jewel at the foot of the Mountain. Then cross over to the majestic Cité de Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, with its cloister and cathedral overlooking the valley. You can reach Clos d'Artagnan from the Montréjeau train station (Lac de baignadde and Golf) in 24 minutes by bike. Canoe/kayak rentals are available in the village, and the spa and ski resort of Luchon is 33km away. Just 15 min away, explore the Gargas caves and their unique prehistoric paintings. Please note: the house is a communal building, managed by the Mairie. An association can organize events under the covered terrace on Saturdays from 4pm to 10pm.
