Welcome to Gîte de Stricou! Ideally located in the heart of the Malepère Massif, between Toulouse and Carcassonne, you'll enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in a natural environment.

Here, you'll discover our 50-hectare vineyard and woodland estate, and follow part of the St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrimage route. Just a few kilometers from the village of Montréal, overlooking the Audoise plain and the UNESCO World Heritage Canal du Midi, which you can walk or cycle along. From the Holiday cottage, you can explore the cultural and gastronomic riches of the Aude department (the village of Fanjeaux, the Cathar castles of Saissac and Lastours, the book village of Montolieu and the Abbeys of Saint-Papoul and Saint-Hilaire). Just a few kilometers away, you'll find yourself at the famous Mirepoix Market in Ariège, or under the ramparts of the Cité de Carcassonne, 25 minutes away. On request, the owners will be happy to advise you on the best places to taste local wines.


On site, you'll enjoy the owners' shared garden and park, as well as the boulodrome for a game of pétanque, with breathtaking views of the Pyrenees. From May 1st to October 30th, you can take a refreshing dip in the owners' Piscine (6x12 m, depth 1.20 to 2.50 m), open from mid-May to the end of September depending on the weather, with its sun loungers and pool house with shower and WC. A gaming room with table tennis, table soccer, etc. is also available.

The Holiday cottage comprises on the ground floor:
