Looking for an authentic getaway in the heart of the Cathar countryside? Our spacious 250 m2 family home is located in Fanjeaux, a remarkable medieval town, ideal for a family with Kids or a group of friends.

Holiday cottage with a warm atmosphere, its vast rooms combining family furniture and modernity, high ceilings, fireplaces and original floor tiles. Renovated in 2023 with an eco-responsible approach, its 400-year-old walls and interior patio offer natural coolness in summer and a cosy cocoon in winter. Nearby: the Cité de Carcassonne, the Cathar castles of Lastours, Saissac, Puivert and Montségur, the abbeys of Saint-Papoul and Villelongue. Castelnaudary, with its Canal du Midi, is a great place to discover the countryside by bike. Medieval Mirepoix comes alive every Monday with a large Market. Toulouse and the Mediterranean are just 50 minutes away. Hiking in the mountains of the Pyrenees, white-water kayaking in the Upper Aude Valley. The Holiday cottage is located on a small square with free parking and a terminal for electric cars; the café, bakery, grocery store, restaurants, tea room, Pharmacy and tourist office are all just a stone's throw away. Doctor, nurses and physiotherapist in the village. Hiking trails and the GR78, Chemin de Compostelle du Piémont Pyrénéen, start at the foot of the house. Kids' playground and Tennis court 5 minutes' walk away. International art exhibition from mid-June to mid-September. Ground floor: dining room and fully-equipped kitchen.
