Nearby: the Cité de Carcassonne, the Cathar castles of Lastours, Saissac, Puivert and Montségur, the abbeys of Saint-Papoul and Villelongue. Castelnaudary, with its Canal du Midi, is a great place to discover the countryside by bike. Medieval Mirepoix comes alive every Monday with a large Market. Toulouse and the Mediterranean are just 50 minutes away. Hiking in the mountains of the Pyrenees, or white-water kayaking in the upper Aude valley.
The Holiday cottage is located on a small plot with free parking and an electric car terminal; the café, bakery, grocery store, restaurants, tea room, pharmacy and tourist office are all within 2 minutes' walk. Doctor, nurses and physiotherapist in the village. Hiking trails and the GR78, Chemin de Compostelle du Piémont Pyrénéen, start at the foot of the house. Kids' playground and Tennis court 5 minutes' walk away. International art exhibition from mid-June to mid-September.
