Lou Recantou

Gîte located in one of the most beautiful villages on the Languedoc coast, in the heart of the Narbonnaise Regional Nature Park.

On the banks of the lake, this Occitan village, with its medieval "carrierettes" and "calades", has preserved its shady square under the plane trees, opposite the church and its fountain. Numerous walks on stilts will take you to ancient salt pans and the Doul, a veritable inland sea. Narbonne is 15 minutes away, while Carcassonne, the Cathar countryside and Perpignan are less than 1 hour away. Small shops, private wineries, restaurants and health services in the village.

The Holiday cottage is set on 3 levels, in a village house, accessible only via a "carrierette", a narrow pedestrian alley that runs around the bottom of the village and leads to the church square. Ground floor: shower room with WC.1st floor: bedroom with double bed (140cm) and storage space. 2nd floor: living room with equipped kitchenette. A few more steps give access to a solarium-terrace, set against the ancient walls of the château and its parapet walk, electric barbecue, terrace furniture. Reversible air-conditioning for heating, housekeeping extra, cleaning products available.

Visitors are not allowed to park in the parking spaces reserved for residents inside the village and on the banks of the lake. There are three visitor parking lots, two of which are free, 250 m from the Holiday cottage on the route de Bages, and numerous blue parking spaces with time limits (disc required) between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the village.
