La Redorte, a charming Minervois village, is surrounded by renowned Vineyards producing rich, sun-drenched AOC wines. Its heritage includes the UNESCO-listed Canal du Midi, with its barge and bike routes, and the nearby medieval village of Minerve and Cathar castles, with their fascinating history. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy Hiking in the Mountain Noire and water sports on Lake Jouarres, 10 minutes away. The local culture is revealed through festivals, markets and arts and crafts. Gastronomic specialties include cassoulet and goat's cheese. You'll be staying on a property where you'll also find bed and breakfast accommodation and another gîte, with shared outdoor spaces (the owners have 2 very friendly dogs), where you can relax by the Piscine, open from early May to late September, size 5x10m, depth 1.40 to 1.70m, secured by an alarm. The Holiday cottage, located on the ground floor of another Holiday cottage on the first floor, comprises: -a large, fully-equipped living room/kitchen opening onto a private terrace with garden furniture and barbecue; -a living room with a comfortable sofa bed (160cm); -a bedroom with two single beds (90cm).
