Ideally located between Carcassonne and the Mountain Noire, Montolieu is a must-visit destination for lovers of history, culture, and nature. Stroll through the narrow streets of this village, renowned for its many bookstores, secondhand bookshops, artists’ studios, and galleries, before setting out to explore the surrounding countryside along the numerous hiking trails.

Just a few kilometers away, enjoy the municipal Piscine (2 km), go fishing along the banks of the Alzeau River, or set out to explore the treasures of Cathar Country, including the Château de Saissac (7 km). Carcassonne, with its famous medieval citadel, and the Canal du Midi are both easily accessible to round out your stay.

All local shops are within walking distance: restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, bookstores, and antique book shops. Throughout the year, Montolieu offers cultural events that add to the charm of this lively and welcoming village.

The holiday cottage, spread over three levels, features:
On the lower level:
_A bedroom with two 90-cm beds that can be pushed together,
_A veranda converted into an office with a bookshelf,
On the ground floor:
_An entryway leading to the fully equipped kitchen (induction cooktop, microwave, drip coffee maker + Senseo, dishwasher), a living room with a dining area and working fireplace, a lounge area with a TV, and a terrace with a view and outdoor furniture,
On the first floor:
_A bedroom with two 90-cm beds that can be pushed together,
_A bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, and washing machine,

Public parking lot is about 150 meters from the holiday cottage. Luggage can be unloaded right outside the holiday cottage.

The owner can, upon request and subject to availability, arrange a transfer from the train station or Airport.
