Perched on a promontory, Montréal is a medieval village typical of the Cathar region in the heart of the Aude department. Its Gothic collegiate church, Saint-Vincent, dominates the village and the rolling Lauragais countryside.
Just 20 minutes away, discover the famous UNESCO-listed Cité de Carcassonne. Hiking or cycling through vineyards, fields and pine forests.
Wine lovers will love the local Malepère appellation cellars.
Nearby, the Canal du Midi offers peaceful boat or bike rides.
In summer, the village comes alive with markets, concerts and traditional festivals. Southern gastronomy: cassoulet, wines, foie gras and local produce are the order of the day.
Montréal is also an excellent base for visiting the Cathar castles.
After your walks, you can relax by the private swimming pool (7 x 3 depth 1.50m), and enjoy the summer evenings on the terrace, gazing out over the Pyrenees.
