Le Tilleul du Prieuré

In the heart of the Minervois region, Le Tilleul du Prieuré is a Holiday cottage set amidst vineyards. Before the French Revolution, this estate was a priory.

You’ll discover this historic site, a building dating back to 1782. The exposed stone vaulted ceiling and the kitchen backsplash made of pink marble from Caunes-Minervois have been preserved by the owners to combine modern comfort with timeless charm.

Right outside the holiday cottage, walking trails along the 18th-century capitelles route will take you through the wine-growing region, past a Visigothic cemetery and its church.

The Cité de Carcassonne is 15 km away, The Cathar Castles, the magnificent landscapes of the Montagne Noire and its lakes perfect for swimming, the Abbey of Caunes-Minervois, the marble workshop, and the Gouffre Géant de Cabrespine will amaze you—all just 30 minutes from the holiday cottage.
The Mediterranean Sea, 50 km away, offers swimming and seafood tastings.

The heart of the village of Laure-Minervois, with its shops, is just 2 minutes away. The surrounding wineries welcome you to tour their estates and taste the region’s wines and spirits.
For cycling enthusiasts, we offer mountain bike rentals for an adrenaline rush and e-bikes for more leisurely rides along the Canal du Midi. These rentals are provided in partnership with a professional rental company.

The holiday cottage is attached to the owners’ home but has a separate entrance through the courtyard; it is located on the first floor and accessed via a spiral staircase. It is equipped with
- A living room with a seating area: sofa, TV, CD/radio, reversible air conditioning, an open-concept fully equipped kitchen, and a dining table. A small storage area is adjacent
- A bedroom with a 140x190cm bed
- A separate bathroom (shower and toilet)

You’ll have access to a private garden where you can enjoy your meals outdoors, either under the southern sun or beneath the large linden tree. It features a relaxation area, lounge chairs, and a dining table. The garden is a true haven of peace, accessible by simply crossing the small, quiet alleyway. Private parking is available in front of the house.
A lockable storage shed large enough to accommodate a small trailer and several bicycles is available on site.
