There are plenty of places to visit nearby: the Mountain Noire with its lakes and caves, the circulade of Bram, the book village of Montolieu, the Brousse et Villaret paper mill, the medieval village of Fanjeaux, Castelnaudary and its cassoulet, and the castles of the Cathar region, such as Saissac and Lastours, all less than half an hour away by car.
