Le Pavillon du Parc

Welcome to Le Pavillon du Parc, a charming holiday cottage located in the heart of the Château Bouchat-Alaux estate, in the charming village of Pennautier, just outside Carcassonne.

Nestled in a peaceful, green setting along the banks of the Fresquel River, this comfortable accommodation is the ideal starting point for exploring the Aude region, Cathar Country, and the Vineyards of southern France.

On the ground floor:
You’ll enjoy a pleasant living area with a TV, a two-seater sofa bed, and a cozy dining area.
The separate kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, and espresso machine. A separate half-bath completes this level.

Upstairs (air conditioning in the hallway leading to the bedrooms):
Bedroom 1: 140x190cm bed and two 90x190cm bunk beds.
Bedroom 2: 160x200cm bed and a two-seater sofa bed.
Bedroom 3: a master suite with a 160x200cm bed and a private bathroom with a bathtub.
A separate bathroom with a shower and a second separate toilet.


The holiday cottage features a private, fenced-in terrace, ideal for al fresco dining, relaxing, or stays with kids.
Private parking is located right in front of the cottage to make your arrival and travel easier.
Guests can also enjoy the estate’s spacious shared garden, a true haven of peace perfect for strolling, reading, or simply taking in the surrounding nature. A wood-fired barbecue is available in the garden to help you make the most of those lovely summer evenings.

For guests traveling with an electric vehicle, charging stations are available in the village of Pennautier.

Just a few minutes away, the famous Cité de Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, immerses you in medieval history with its impressive ramparts and charming narrow streets.
Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy walks along the Canal du Midi, another UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as the many hiking trails and bike routes that wind through the rolling landscapes of Cathar Country.

Pennautier is also renowned for its magnificent castle, nicknamed the “Versailles of Languedoc,” surrounded by prestigious vineyards where you can taste wines from the Cabardès appellation.
Nearby, explore the famous Cathar castles such as Château de Lastours, charming villages, local markets, regional producers, and the exceptional landscapes of the Mountain Noire.
