Saint-Benoît is ideally located for exploring the region's many tourist attractions.
Just a few kilometers away, explore the majestic Château de Chalabre, offering immersive medieval entertainment. Nearby, visit Lake Montbel, perfect for swimming and water sports, as well as Cathar castles such as Puivert and Montségur. The mountains of the Ariège and the medieval city of Mirepoix complete this rich escapade.
Along the way, you'll visit the abbey of Lagrasse, listed as one of France's most beautiful villages, and marvel at its medieval architecture and enchanting setting. Cathar castles such as Peyrepertuse and Quéribus transport visitors back to the history of the Crusades. Not far away, the Gorges de Galamus offer an impressive natural spectacle and opportunities for Hiking or canyoning. The medieval city of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just a short distance away and makes an unmissable stopover.
Wine lovers can also discover the vineyards of Limoux and taste the famous blanquettes in the local cellars.
Saint-Benoît also benefits from its proximity to the Ariège region, rich in prehistoric sites such as the Niaux cave and adventurous mountain landscapes. An ideal region for lovers of history, nature and wide open spaces.
On the estate, you'll enjoy the shared Piscine (with another Holiday cottage) (6 x 12 m, depth 1.40 m), open from early May to late October. Jacuzzi on request 5€ per person for 1h30 session.
