Le Moulin du Vivier - La Maison du Meunier

Located on the banks of the Canal du Midi and 2km from Castelnaudary, the Moulin du Vivier Holiday cottage "La Maison du Meunier" welcomes you for a unique and pleasant stay. This charming old building dating from 1827 has recently been tastefully renovated to accommodate groups of up to 14 people. Whether you're with family or friends, you'll appreciate its location and the calm and serenity that reign there. You also have the option of reserving just one of the 5 rooms on offer, all of which are secure and have independent entrances just like a Bed and breakfast (for rates for each room, see below in the description). There's a fully-equipped shared kitchen and a terrace on the banks of the Canal du Midi to enjoy your breakfasts and meals. At any time of day, the Canal du Midi plunges you into a different atmosphere that will enchant young and old alike. Free private parking is available on site. For cyclists, there's a secure garage/workshop adjacent to the Holiday cottage. On site, Le Moulin du Vivier has a store offering a wide range of quality local products (flour, wine, preserves, charcuterie, local sweet and savoury products, hot and cold drinks, ice creams). The Moulin du Vivier, as its name suggests, is a place steeped in history, where flour has been produced on site for two centuries. A number of additional services are available (choice of on-site catering deliveries, breakfast baskets on reservation, €10 train station shuttle, €5 baby bed rental). Pets allowed at an extra charge of €8 per stay. The 250€ deposit is for the Holiday cottage only. Arrivals are between 4pm and 6:30pm at the store, after this time please contact the owner, who will give you an access code. Breakfast and meals available on site.

The first floor comprises a large living room with a kitchen, a sitting room and direct access to the terrace. The ground floor also includes a bedroom adapted for people with reduced mobility, with a 160cm bed and a private en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin, WC). This room opens onto the outside with a breathtaking view of the Canal du Midi. Garage for bicycles. Upstairs, two bedrooms, each with a 160cm bed and en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin, WC). The two family rooms have a double bed and two adult-size Bunk beds, and an en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin, WC). WIFI ACCESS. Baby Equipment. Price per room and per night: Double room 2 people (low season: 81€, high season: 96€ per night), Family room 4 people (low season: 111€, high season: 130€ per night).
