L'Avocette

L'Avocette is located in the heart of the charming village of Bages, one of the most beautiful villages on the Aude coast thanks to its breathtaking view over the lake.

From the top of its rock, you can appreciate the lagoon landscapes of this local jewel. Hiking enthusiasts can stroll through the steep, narrow streets of this perched village, and Bages is also the starting point for numerous trails around the lagoon. You're ideally located just 15 minutes from Narbonne and its St-Just cathedral or its famous Halles Market. The Abbey of Fontfroide, the beaches of Gruissan and the Ile Sainte-Lucie are all within easy reach. On site, the Holiday cottage de l'Avocette is ideally located to enjoy the peace and quiet and the Bages environment (picnic tables just a few meters away facing the pond), all in a village atmosphere that has remained authentic. Bages is a lively place, with many festivities including village fêtes, concerts and pétanque tournaments. There are several art galleries in the village, as well as a boat library where you can borrow kayaks, small sailboats and windsurfers for birdwatching and trips on the lake. You can park your car in front of the Holiday cottage or in a nearby parking lot.
