L'Avocette is located in the heart of the charming village of Bages, one of the most beautiful villages on the Aude coast thanks to its breathtaking view over the lake.

From the top of its rocky outcrop, you can enjoy the lagoon-like scenery of this local gem. Whether you’re a fan of hiking or leisurely strolls, you can wander through the steep, narrow streets of this hilltop village; Bages is also the starting point for many trails around the lake. You’re ideally located just 15 minutes from Narbonne and its St-Just Cathedral or its famous Les Halles market. Fontfroide Abbey, the beaches of Gruissan, and Sainte-Lucie Island are all nearby sites worth visiting. On site, the Avocette holiday cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy the peace and quiet as well as the surroundings of Bages (picnic tables just a few meters away facing the pond), all within the atmosphere of a village that has retained its authentic charm. Bages is a lively place and hosts several events, including village festivals, concerts, and pétanque tournaments. In the village, there are several art galleries and a boat rental center where you can rent kayaks, small sailboats, and windsurf boards for trips on the pond and birdwatching. You can park your car in front of the holiday cottage or in a parking lot right nearby.

This air-conditioned, fully equipped holiday cottage features, on the ground floor, a large living room with a seating area, TV, dining table, a fully equipped kitchen, and a work area. On the first floor, there is a lounge with a TV and two single beds arranged at an angle for relaxing, a bedroom with a 160-bed, and a separate bathroom with a walk-in shower and sink, a separate toilet, and a closet.
