Nestled at an altitude of 410m in a natural setting and housed in an authentic old stone house, La Petite Maison dans la Prairie opens its doors to you for a stay where rest and tranquillity are the key words! Cassaignes is a quiet, picturesque village with preserved architecture, facing the Pyrenees mountain range and overlooking Rennes-le-Château and the Pic de Bugarach, close to Carcassonne and central for visiting the castles and Cathar country!

There are many activities to enjoy in the region, including hiking through magnificent landscapes starting right from the holiday cottage, as well as a mountain bike trail. You can also explore the region’s rich heritage: the spa town of Rennes-les-Bains, the mysterious treasure of Rennes-le-Château, the charming village of Alet-les-Bains, and the Château d’Arques—all within 15 minutes of your lodging!

The holiday cottage is detached with direct access to a shaded meadow. On-site, you’ll have a private terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, as well as a large outdoor area ideal for kids, since the village sees very little through-traffic. The outdoor area is not fenced and opens onto the natural surroundings.

This single-story holiday cottage features a living room with a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a lounge area with a sofa bed and TV. There is one bedroom with a 140-size bed. A separate bathroom includes a shower, sink, and washing machine. There is also a separate toilet.


Wi-Fi is available in the holiday cottage. Pets are allowed. Private parking on-site. Sheets and towels are optional. A mandatory end-of-stay cleaning fee of €35 is payable to the owner upon arrival.
