Located in Couiza, in the heart of the Upper Aude Valley, an ideal destination for exploring the treasures of Cathar Country. Tucked away on a quiet street, right next to the Château des Ducs de Joyeuse, the stadium, and the pleasant banks of the Aude River, the holiday cottage enjoys a prime location.

On the ground floor, you’ll find a fully equipped semi-separate kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, Senseo coffee maker, and fridge-freezer. The air-conditioned living room offers a pleasant space to relax together, featuring a sofa, a TV, and a dining area. A bathroom with a shower and toilet completes this level.

Outside, a terrace with garden furniture invites you to enjoy meals together or relax on balmy evenings within a fully enclosed property. A garage is available for you to securely park your bicycles or motorcycles. Right across from the holiday cottage, a large free public parking lot makes parking easy.

Upstairs, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms: one with a 160 x 200 cm double bed and air conditioning, a second with two 90 x 190 cm single beds, and a third with a 140 x 190 cm double bed. A second bathroom and a separate toilet complete the sleeping area.

Staying here means discovering an exceptional region where history, nature, and fine dining come together. The Château des Ducs de Joyeuse overlooks the village and bears witness to the region’s rich past. Walks along the banks of the Aude River offer a peaceful setting, while the many Restaurants and Shops let you fully enjoy the village’s friendly atmosphere—all within walking distance, so you can make the most of your stay without needing to drive.

You can visit the famous village of Rennes-le-Château and unravel the mystery surrounding it, relax in Rennes-les-Bains, admire the spectacular Galamus Gorges, or set out to explore the majestic Cathar castles of Peyrepertuse, Quéribus, Puilaurens, and Arques. History buffs will also enjoy a trip to the famous medieval city of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Nature lovers can enjoy the many hiking trails, mountain bike trails, cycling routes, and water sports (rafting, canyoning, canoeing, and kayaking). Wine enthusiasts can sample the famous Blanquette de Limoux, considered the world’s oldest sparkling wine.
