La Gauna

Peace, authenticity and breathtaking scenery: welcome to La Gauna in Quintillan! A large family home nestled in the heart of nature, La Gauna is a rare place that is ecological, self-sufficient and deeply welcoming.

Fed by water from a spring that supplies the sanitary facilities, and by solar energy, it offers total immersion in an unspoilt environment, between holm oak forests, garrigues and wild hills. Situated in the heart of the Corbières, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees, on an 18-hectare private estate, the house is ideal for families, groups of friends, hikers, dreamers and anyone looking to slow down, reconnect with the essentials and live differently, far from the hustle and bustle.
In summer, there's a small stone pool where you can cool off in the shade of the trees (except during dry spells). At La Gauna, every season has its own charm, and every stay is a promise of freedom, silence and authenticity.

In front of the house, enjoy summer days in the cool shade of the lime and chestnut trees. In the evening, let yourself be charmed by the warmth of the long evenings, ideal for sharing a good meal in the open air.

The house is self-sufficient in water and electricity. This autonomy implies eco-consumption: energy-guzzling resistance appliances are outlawed (electric coffee maker, hair dryer, deep fryer, raclette machine, etc.), but the kitchen is well equipped with alternatives. In summer, use of domestic water should be moderate, as drinking water is provided.

Access is by carriage road for approx. 1 km.
