Located in the village of Douzens, La Calade is ideally situated in the heart of the Carcassonnais region. Just 2 km from the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, you'll find an ideal setting for peaceful walks and bike rides. The medieval city of Carcassonne, emblematic of the region, is within easy reach and invites you to immerse yourself in history. Further south, the Alaric trails offer beautiful walks through garrigue and panoramic views of the Corbières, while the abbey of Lagrasse, a village of character recognized as one of the most beautiful in France, completes the cultural discoveries. Between heritage, nature and the art of living, the region lends itself equally well to active holidays and rejuvenating breaks. La Calade Bed and breakfast is housed in a Semi-detached house, shared with the owners, who live on site and offer you a warm welcome while respecting your privacy. The atmosphere is traditional and country, in a quiet environment, ideal for resting after a day of exploring. On the first floor, you'll find a separate kitchen, available to guests. Equipped with oven, fridge, kettle and espresso maker, you can prepare your own meals. A lounge area with television completes this level, and is a pleasant place to relax or share a convivial moment. Upstairs, three comfortable bedrooms can accommodate up to 6 people: Chambre Rouge, located on the 1st floor, is approximately 20 m² in size, with a 160x200 bed. It has a private bathroom with bath, shower and WC, and is air-conditioned. Chambre Bleu, located on the 1st floor, is approx. 20 m², with a 160x200 bed, private shower room and WC. Chambre Grise, located on the 1st floor, is approx. 15 m², with a 140x190 bed. The private shower room and WC are located on the landing immediately outside the room. Outside, you'll enjoy a shared enclosed garden, with garden furniture and a plancha available, as well as a shaded terrace, ideal for meals in fine weather. Private or public parking is available on request. Cyclists and Bikers will appreciate the possibility of parking bikes and motorcycles in the garage.
