The Holiday cottage is nestled in Mediterranean vegetation, surrounded by fields of lavender and pine trees. You're in the Parc Naturel Régional de la Narbonnaise, just 30 minutes from the Mediterranean ponds and beaches, and 40 minutes from Narbonne and Perpignan. If you fancy a trip to Collioure or Spain, allow around 1 hour's drive.
The Holiday cottage, adjoining the owner's residence, has its own entrance and is housed in the beautifully restored wing of an old stone sheepfold. On one level (with a few steps up), a cosy dining room with a decorative wood-burning stove, a fully-equipped kitchen, a vast living room-veranda opening onto nature and the gîte's garden, a bedroom with a 160 cm double bed, a shower room and a separate toilet. The Holiday cottage opens onto a flower-filled Mediterranean garden, where lavender grows alongside many species of garrigue and cypress trees. A private garden, with a gravel terrace sheltered by an arbour, overlooks the valley, the village of Durban and its ancient fortified castle. Garden furniture is provided.
The owner, who is also a beekeeper, lives on site and will be delighted to advise you on the most beautiful walks. Services and shops, as well as a shared Piscine, are available in Durban-Corbières. Please note that end-of-stay cleaning is compulsory (additional €50 to be paid directly to the owner).
