My gîte is located in the heart of Cathar country and allows you to visit many castles in a star formation.

Set in a preserved environment, this Holiday cottage lets you stay in the heart of an area steeped in history and contrasting landscapes. Just a few kilometers away, Rennes-le-Château has intrigued visitors for over a century with the story of Abbé Saunière, and offers superb views of the Pyrenees mountain range. Lovers of discovery will also appreciate Espéraza and its dinosaur museum, a must-see for young and old alike, as well as the typical villages of the upper Aude valley. The surrounding area lends itself naturally to outdoor activities, with hiking and mountain biking available from the Holiday cottage, and white-water sports just ten minutes away. The Holiday cottage is located on the 1st floor of a converted outbuilding. Access is via an outside staircase. The living room features a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen, ideal for meals and relaxing after a day's exploring. The sleeping area comprises: one bedroom with a 140 x 190 cm bed one bedroom with two 90 x 190 cm beds A bathroom is at your disposal, as well as a separate toilet. Outside, you'll enjoy a terrace covered by a pergola, equipped with garden furniture, ideal for al fresco dining while admiring the views over the surrounding Countryside. A small private garden of 25 m2, located in front of the gîte, completes the setting and allows you to fully enjoy the peace and quiet of the place. Out of season, central oil heating is available at an additional cost of around 40 euros per week.
