Trausse-Minervois, a charming village in the Aude department, nestles at the foot of the Mountain Noire, in the heart of the Minervois Vineyard. Its narrow streets and Romanesque church offer an authentic atmosphere. Nearby, discover the abbey of Caunes-Minervois, the Cathar village of Minerve, or the majestic Cité de Carcassonne. The UNESCO-listed Canal du Midi invites you to stroll or cycle along its banks.
On the wine front, the region produces excellent AOC Minervois wines, which can be tasted at local wineries. Gastronomy reflects the terroir: cassoulet, truffles, goat's cheese and olive oil.
The Olonzac and Azille Markets are bursting with flavors. Hiking, mountain biking and swimming at Lake Jouarres are also on the agenda. Lovers of heritage, nature and wine will be delighted.
