In the heart of a preserved natural environment, Chez Marie opens its doors to you for a stay dedicated to simplicity and rejuvenation. Here, the atmosphere is gentle and authentic, like a family home where you immediately feel at ease. Time seems to slow down, giving way to the essential pleasures of enjoying the peace, fresh air and light of the South. From Lacombe, in the Mountain Noire of the Aude region, you can easily reach a multitude of emblematic sites. Fans of beautiful roads, especially on motorcycles, will appreciate the hilly landscapes and winding itineraries that wind their way through forests and panoramas. Nearby, the book village of Montolieu invites you to stroll through its charming alleyways and unique bookshops. A little further on, the catch of Alzeau, cradle of the Canal du Midi, unveils a refreshing waterfall in the heart of nature. You can't stay here without visiting the famous Cité de Carcassonne, with its impressive ramparts and history, or exploring the Châteaux de Lastours or Château de Saissac, witnesses to a fascinating past. The surrounding area also lends itself perfectly to Hiking and Cycling, with its varied and soothing landscapes. There's also a farm in the hamlet where you can meet the animals and sample the local produce, adding a lively, gourmet touch to your stay. Swimming at the Laprade and Mountain lakes (base with inflatable games, mini golf, accrobranche...) The Holiday cottage, adjoining the owners' house, has been designed to offer comfort and conviviality. It offers: _An entrance through to the living room, with a sitting area with a particularly comfortable 140cm rapido sofa (with slats), a dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen area (2-burner hob, dishwasher, fridge-top, combined microwave, traditional coffee maker), _A shower room with walk-in shower and toilet,
A bedroom with a 90cm bunk bed, Outside, in front of the living room, the private south-facing terrace, with its garden furniture, barbecue and pleasant view of the garden and the Pyrenees. The large garden is shared with the owners, but a driveway, parking space and garage are independent and available. Environmentally aware, the house uses solar hot water, a pellet-fired boiler and a rainwater recovery system for the garden. Access to a shared washing machine is possible.
