Less than half an hour from the Holiday cottage, you'll have the chance to discover many of the region's attractions: the book village of Montolieu, where you can stroll through its typical narrow streets or visit one of the village bookshops; the Prise d'Alzeau, the birthplace of the Canal du Midi and its famous Cascade; the medieval city of Carcassonne; the Cathar castles of Lastours and Saissac; and the magnificent surrounding countryside, where you can enjoy a wide range of hiking and cycling activities. What's more, there's a farm in the hamlet where you can see the animals and sample the local produce. At the Holiday cottage, you'll be able to stroll and relax on the private south-facing terrace with a beautiful view over the garden. Garden furniture and a barbecue are at your disposal. The Holiday cottage is also sensitive to ecology and respect for the environment, with a solar hot water house and a pellet-fired boiler, as well as a rainwater recovery tank for the garden, which also has Oyas for watering.
