Staying in Caunes-Minervois means choosing a village steeped in history, famous for its pink marble quarries, whose stone was used to decorate the Château de Versailles. From the Holiday cottage, a hiking trail leads to these emblematic quarries, offering beautiful views of the Mountain Noire massif. The village lies at the heart of the Minervois appellation, a terroir renowned for its characterful wines, which you can discover on strolls through the surrounding estates or with the local winemakers. Caunes-Minervois is also an ideal starting point for hikers and mountain bikers, with numerous signposted routes through garrigue, forests and mid-mountain terrain. The Cabrespine and Limousis caves are just a few kilometers away. The city of Carcassonne, the Canal du Midi and Minerve, classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, will enrich your stay. The Minerve baths (communal pool) are 5 km away, and the Mediterranean Sea is less than an hour away. The Holiday cottage is on the first floor of a house. It opens onto a dining room with a fully-equipped kitchen, designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The bright, pleasant living room opens directly onto the terrace. On this level, you'll also find a separate toilet. Upstairs, the sleeping area comprises three comfortable bedrooms, all with 160x190 beds, and a shower room with toilet. Bed linen and towels provided, for a stress-free stay. Outside, you'll enjoy a private terrace overlooking an 18 m2 fenced-in swimming pool, ideal for relaxing after walks or visits.
