This rural village stands out for its peaceful, authentic setting, surrounded by fields of sunflowers and wheat. Its 13th-century Saint-Martin church bears witness to the region's medieval history. Walking enthusiasts will appreciate the picturesque paths offering magnificent views of the Pyrenees and the Mountain Noire.
Nearby Castelnaudary, world capital of cassoulet, offers a gastronomic stopover not to be missed. The Canal du Midi, ideal for boat or bike trips. A little further afield, the medieval city of Carcassonne, famous for its ramparts and castle, is a major tourist attraction. Between nature, heritage and gastronomy, Saint-Martin-Lalande and its surroundings are an ideal destination for lovers of the Countryside and the history of the South-West.

Lolo Superbe grand gîte dans un décor du canal du Midi
La beauté du bâtiment, ancienne longère, avec son allée de platanes à deux pas du canal du Midi (50 mètres) près de l'écluse Guerre puis la piscine chauffée facile d'accès, l'extérieur avec sa grande pergola et ce gîte immense, super bien décoré et ou on pourrait être huit alors que nous n'étions que deux et le tout de plein pied donc accès facile en cas de mobilité réduite. Puis le coin est riche en très beaux sites sans faire trop de kilomètres à peine 250 kms en ayant été à Carcassonne.
Et pour les amateurs de bons vins, ils ne seront pas déçus.- Cleanliness

Nanni Traumhaft!
Ein traumhaftes Anwesen mit viel Platz und in völlig ruhiger Umgebung, in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Canal du Midi! Baguette und Chocolatines können in dem in 1,7 km Entfernung gelegenen Tante-Emma-Laden vorbestellt werden.
Veronique und Serge sind sehr liebenswürdige Gastgeber und alle Absprachen funktionieren reibungslos.
In Haus, Garten und Pool ist man völlig unbeobachtet und kann alle Freiheiten genießen!- Cleanliness

Location très agréable. Nous avons même déjà prévu d'y revenir dans 2 ans. L'accueil est parfait, le logement très bien équipé et le nécessaire fourni (éponge, liquide vaisselle, ...). Un vrai havre de paix.
