This gîte is located in a quiet hamlet in a rural setting. It's the ideal place for a relaxing vacation. You'll enjoy discovering the surrounding area, with numerous family hikes accessible to all. The small roads that criss-cross this rural landscape are ideal for cyclists, and there are many mountain bike trails in the area. There's plenty to see and do nearby, including the Cité de Carcassonne, Catharism with the Château de Montségur and Roquefixade, and the Bastide de Mirepoix with its colorful weekly market. Swimming is possible in the Hers river, 1 km away, as is canoeing and kayaking, 1.5 km away. Lac de Montbel is 15 km away and offers supervised swimming and water sports. The GR78 passes in front of the house, and the "voie verte" linking Pamiers to the Cathar Pyrenees is 4 km away (St-Amadou).

From the terrace and garden, as well as from inside, you'll enjoy a superb view of the Pyrenees mountain range. Semi-detached house on one side only, not overlooked.
