From the moment you enter the house, you'll be charmed by its soul. The interior architecture and furnishings reinforce the authenticity of the place. After a day's skiing or hiking, you'll appreciate the cozy comfort of the living room. In fine weather, the semi-shaded terrace overlooks the valley and the sunset over the Cathar castle of Montségur. The owner provides detailed maps of the various hiking routes nearby. It's an ideal location for discovering the Cathar castles (Puivert, Puylaurens...). The Monts d'Olmes ski resort is 18 km away, where you can meet Perrine Laffont (Olympic Champion) and discover the moguls track on which she started out. Lac de Montbel, 17 km away, offers swimming and water sports. In summer, a bus serves the Château de Montségur, making it a 13-minute walk to the gîte. A bakery and restaurants are nearby.
