Le Moulin de L'Anglée

In the heart of the Pays Mélusin, the Moulin de l'Anglée on the banks of the River Vonne is laid out over 3 levels in a wooded setting. On the first floor: a large kitchen/dining room, a spacious living room with a beautiful fireplace, an imperial bedroom (30 m2 and 1 double bed) with private shower room. 1st floor: a yellow bedroom (1 bed 140, 1 bed 120), a green bedroom (2 beds 90) - these two bedrooms share a bathroom with toilet and shower -, a mauve bedroom (1 bed 140 and 1 bed 80) with private shower room and toilet on the landing. On the second floor: a vast mezzanine with a relaxation area (not available for rental unless requested). A terrace with barbecue area and garden furniture is set out under the courtyard. Outbuildings include a laundry room and an easement for storing vegetables and drinks. The garden has several levels and includes a 6-acre island accessible by a small bridge. The Holiday cottage's charm also lies in the murmur of the water, the breathtaking view over the river from all rooms and the boat rides (available). A large open-air swimming pool (open in July and August) is just a few dozen meters away on the other side of the river, as are the pétanque and soccer pitches next to the poolside refreshment area.
Sanxay also boasts an important Gallo-Roman sanctuary, a Theater (with its "lyrical evenings" during the first fortnight of August, https://www.operasanxay.fr/), an archaeological site and Thermal baths. Poitiers, "City of Art and History" and its Futuroscope are around 30km away, as is Parthenay and its International Fun Festival (July 12 to 23); the "Tumulus de Bougon" is 10km away (https://tumulus-de-bougon.fr), the stained glass museum at Curzay-sur-Vonne (https://www.musee-du-vitrail.com/) is also in the immediate vicinity; the "Valley of the Apes" is 45km away.
