Attractive Holiday cottage in a 14th-century house, adjoining a year-round rental, in the village of Ispoure.
First floor: living room, sitting area (fireplace), kitchen (fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven), storeroom (washing machine), wc.
Upstairs: 4 bedrooms (3 x 140cm beds, 1 x 160cm bed), 2 with en-suite shower rooms. Shower room (shower and bath), wc.
Non-smoking Holiday cottage. Wifi access.
Beds made on arrival, bathroom linen supplied. Heating and housekeeping included.
Possibility of a 5th bedroom (2 90cm beds on a mezzanine and a lounge area) on request (with an extra charge of 150 euros/week: please check with the owner).
Private parking, terrace with garden furniture and plancha. Enclosed garden. Bike shelter. Spanish border 8km away in Arnéguy. Ideal location for hikers (Trail Station 9 km away) and bikers (Bike / Mountain bike trails 2 km away). Trout fishing nearby. Tennis at Saint Jean Pied de Port 600m away. Playground for Kids and petanque court in Ispoure 100m away; Skatepark 1 km away; Snowshoeing 28 km away, snow permitting.

Fab Jolie typique du pays basque
Le gîte est très grand, fonctionnel, les chambres sont grandes, les lits confortables. Très bien équipé en ustensiles de cuisine et vaisselle. À 15 minutes à pied de la vieille ville de Saint Jean Pied de Port.
Beaucoup de balades et randonnées plus ou moins difficiles à faire dans les alentours. Baignade possible en rivière à Ossès à 20 minutes en voiture.- Cleanliness

Marc Lovely old house
We were welcomed by a very welcoming host who shared his local information willingly. He encouraged us to see a local pelota game played nearby (very entertaining). It is Spacious house with huge bedrooms and decent sized bathrooms. Plenty of parking, well stocked kitchen and many other useful pieces of equipment. The house is well located just outside Saint Jean pied de port and the walk takes about 10-15 minutes. Two supermarkets are nearby and there are plenty of cycling options too. But please be aware! There is a church very close to the house that bangs its bell every hour all day and all night. For example, at 4:59 am/pm the bell will bang 5 times and (apparently quite normal for the area) will bang again at 5:01 am/pm. With the windows open in hot weather you may not get much sleep. However, don’t despair! Using an electric fan, it’s sound drowned out the bells quite effectively. Also closing the windows helped. Just be prepared ( white noise on a Bluetooth speaker could help as well as ear plugs) because this is a great place for a 2 week holiday. We will be back!
