In the heart of the South-West, at the gateway to the Landes Forest and the Vineyards of Bordeaux, 7km from Marmande and 10 minutes from the A62 freeway (Bordeaux/Toulouse), Le Moulin du Pont will seduce you with its comfort and the ancient beauty of its surroundings. Overlooking the Avance river, the 17th-century mill, later transformed into a flour mill, still retains its old millstones and 20th-century turbines. Backing onto the mill, the Holiday cottage has been fitted out in the miller's house, in a resolutely modern style. Ideal for large families or several small ones, the Holiday cottage stretches over several levels: a large fully-equipped kitchen (with decorative fireplace), dining room with sitting area, and wc make up the ground floor. On a half-level, another bright living room with TV. In a wing of the house, an upstairs bedroom with private shower room/wc (2x90 or 1x180) and balcony. In the old part of the house, upstairs, one bedroom with private shower room (2x90 or 1x180), three bedrooms (all 2x90 or 1x180), shared bathroom (shower and bath) and separate wc. Linen, towels and Housekeeping included. Terrace with garden furniture. Private Piscine open from June to September (weather permitting). Unenclosed 1-hectare property with river and pond (young Kids must remain under adult supervision). Visit of the mill possible with Danielle, your host. Tourist tax payable.
You can easily reach the SO Vélo, the greenway linking Marmande to Casteljaloux, by taking the access ramp located less than 1 km from the Holiday cottage. It's also possible to join the Canal des 2 Mers greenway from the Holiday cottage.
Close to the GAROROCK Festival and the spa town of Casteljaloux (spa, Casino, Golf, Swimming lake and Olympic-size swimming pool). From May to November, eco-pasturing is used. Alice the shepherdess settles the ewes on fenced plots at the back of the property.
