Gîte du Meunier

In the heart of the South-West, between Bordeaux and Toulouse, on the edge of the Bordeaux Vineyard, Moulin de Jolit (dating from 1818) is the perfect place to disconnect from everyday stress. A haven of peace amidst greenery and spanning the Gupie river, the Holiday cottage du Meunier is just a stone's throw from the village of Castelnau sur Gupie and 8 km from Marmande (A62 exit 5 Marmande 15 km). Newly restored, the ground floor features a large eat-in kitchen, a shower room with toilet, a dining room and a superb millstone room converted into a relaxation room, where you'll be lulled to sleep by the sound of water sliding under your feet. Enjoy a game of billiards. For cooler days, a pellet stove will warm up this beautiful typical room. The ground floor is also equipped with a foldaway bed, and access to the kitchen and amenities has been designed with the disabled in mind.1st floor: TV area and comfortable sofa bed sleeping 2. Upstairs are 4 spacious air-conditioned bedrooms named after the cereals brought to the mill by farmers to be transformed into flour: Millet (1x140 and 1x120), Spelt and Buckwheat (each 1x160 and 1x120), and Rye (1x140). A large bathroom with Italian shower and magnificent bathtub, and a separate toilet complete this floor. Outside the mill, a large area has been secured for Kids. Private, heated (spring and autumn, weather permitting), covered Piscine (security: alarm), covered Spa open all year. Petanque court. Young and old alike will find plenty to keep them entertained and relaxed: board games, books. Sheets and towels included, beds made.
