Les Peyrets

In the heart of the South-West, between Bordeaux and Toulouse, and just 20 minutes from Agen, the Gîte des Peyrets invites you to a rejuvenating stay on the left bank of the Garonne, in the picturesque village of Saint-Sixte. This charming village, once inhabited by bargemen, is nestled in a meander of the river, close to the Canal du Midi and its Voie verte cycle path. The gîte, adjoining the owners' house but totally independent and unoverlooked, extends over two levels. On the ground floor, you'll find a large living room with a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a sitting room with a TV and a closed hearth fireplace (firewood extra at current rates). This level also includes a shower room with toilet, and a laundry room. Upstairs, the gîte offers three bedrooms (2 double beds 160 cm and a single bed 90 cm), a toilet with washbasin, and a reading and relaxation area on the landing. The covered terrace features garden furniture, table soccer, barbecue and sun loungers. There's also a private fenced garden. Bed linen is included, and beds are made up on arrival. Towels are available at an extra charge, as is the end-of-stay cleaning package. The gîte offers Wi-Fi and private parking. Tourist tax is extra. The gîte is ideally located, with an exit from the A62 freeway (junction 7) close by, and offers easy access to nearby sights and activities: the Canal du Midi (Voie Verte) is 5 minutes away, the Walygator/Aqualand park 30 minutes, the Happy Forest park 15 minutes, and the AquaSud swimming pool 20 minutes. Agen train station and shops 20 minutes away. There are many hiking trails around the gîte, and evening gourmet markets liven up the summers. And don't forget to visit the Musée des Métiers d'Autrefois in Donzac. For your comfort, the gîte is equipped with reversible air conditioning upstairs.
