Hop aboard the century-old train to explore the Marquèze Ecomuseum in Sabres, —an authentic “airial” of the Grande Lande that tells the story of the essential bond between human society and its environment—then head to Commensacq and the Mexico Base de loisirs for a canoe trip down the Leyre River, an adventure course, mountain biking… or opt for swimming at Arjuzanx, a nature reserve offering a variety of activities.

As soon as you arrive at the place known as “Bacquesserre,” let yourself be enchanted by a total immersion in the nature of the Landes and by the authentic charm of this beautiful traditional house, which offers a preserved natural setting conducive to peace and relaxation, surrounded by trees and lulled by the sounds of nature! Completely renovated over the course of four years, the “artist” craftsmen were committed to preserving the home’s authenticity. of this house, with its original half-timbering, its fine materials, and its carefully selected furnishings, which create a subtle harmony between contemporary comfort, refined elegance, and old-world charm. These elements charmingly reflect the history of the Landes region.
The house, entirely on the ground floor, offers 160 m² of living space to accommodate families and groups in the best possible conditions, all year round, whether for a weekend or a longer stay.

The central room features an open fireplace, which takes pride of place; the hearth overlooks both the living room and the sitting room, creating a cozy and warm atmosphere.

For your outdoor comfort, you’ll enjoy two terraces facing opposite directions, complete with garden furniture and a barbecue. From there, you can enjoy the tranquility of the Landes Forest.
Sheets, bath linens, household linens, heating, and housekeeping are included.

The village of Sabres, 3 km away, has small shops and services, including a bakery, small restaurants, and local markets. The friendly and authentic atmosphere of the surrounding villages also allows you to discover local products and the Landes way of life.
