In the heart of the Landes de Gascogne region, this character house, restored in the spirit of a family home, can accommodate 10 people in the most comfortable conditions.
This country gîte is housed in the outbuildings of the former noble house of Chevalier Jean Martin de Muller (1720-1782), major of the Bercheny Hussar Regiment.
It has a lovely view of the village airial and the listed Romanesque portal of its church, and benefits from the exceptional environment of an estate of almost 7ha, classified Natura 2000, comprising meadows, woods, an island, a canal with a waterfall, a river and a fishing reserve.
It features a private, secure swimming pool (12m x 6m), and a large covered terrace for al fresco dining, whatever the weather.
The property is located 8km from Mont-de-Marsan, a town with all shops and services. It's the starting point for lovely bike rides in the nearby nature park, and just a few minutes by car for a wide range of visits in the Landes region, depending on your interests: natural sites, museums, villages with character, gourmet stop-offs.
With a total floor area of 145 m² on the ground floor, the dwelling comprises :
- entrance hall, connecting dining room and living room, open kitchen communicating with the dining room and direct access to the covered terrace,
- the beige bedroom: 160cm bed and private shower room (PMR standards),
- the red bedroom (17.13 m2): one 160cm bed, one 90cm bed and en-suite shower room,
- adjoining WC
- the yellow room: bed 140,
- the green room: 180cm bed (or 2 twin 90cm beds) and a 90cm bed.
These last two rooms share a bathroom with WC.
All facilities are on one level, with the exception of the covered terrace accessible by 4 steps.
For your convenience, bed linen, towels, household linen, cleaning and utilities are included.
Access to the dwelling is via the main courtyard of the noble house, shared with the owners.

Kerstin Wunderbare Zeit auch mit Rollstuhl
Wir haben eine wunderbare Zeit im Schloss verbracht. Trotz des schlechten Wetters haben wir unseren Aufenthalt aufgrund des großzügigen Platzangebotes und der tollen Ausstattung sehr genossen.
Auch mit Rollstuhl bin ich überall zurecht gekommen, vor allem die wirklich barrierefreien Terassentüren oder auch der Küchenaufbau. Für mich war das Bett etwas zu hoch aber da hat jeder andere Vorlieben.
Was ich auch noch positiv hervorheben möchte ist der Schlafkomfort, die Matratzen waren für uns toll.

La casa es perfecta y con una cuidada decoración.
Los anfitriones encantadores, amables y dispuestos a ayudar/aconsejar en todo momento.
La cocina es fantástica, así como los baños y dormitorios, con todo lo necesario. En el salón pondría un sofá algo más cómodo para las personas que se alojan, es el único pero que le ponemos a esta estupenda casa.- Cleanliness

Isa Magnifique gîte
Nous avons eu le plaisir de découvrir un magnifique gîte dans une environnement privilégié. Il est aménagé avec beaucoup de goût, très bien conçu et très bien équipé. La literie est au top. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés ! Nous recommandons.

Excellent house to enjoy a quiet and nice holiday in the south of France.
Patrice and Etienne are very warm and nice people who have created a cosy 'Gite à la campagne' with great taste for quality, culture, ...
Sleeping rooms are large, bathrooms excellent, kitchen equipped with all you need...
We stayed there for a week and everything we needed was present in the house.
The entire family also enjoyed the big swimming pool, the very large and covered terrace, the nice garden, ...
