The former gatekeeper's house, 50 m from the river and a majestic old elm standing guard over the old Boussignac mill, turns its back on the small railroad line linking Limoges to Saint Junien. A dozen TER shuttles run here, and only during the day. The small road leading down to the gîte doesn't go any further, but is extended by a hiking trail that allows you to discover the calm and verdant nature of the Vienne riverbanks. The gîte opens onto a terrace covered by a pergola, from which you can observe a small fish pond. The grounds are enclosed, and a shed is available for fishermen to store their gear, or for storing bicycles. Nearby attractions include Saint Junien, the city of leather and the Corot site, Rochechouart with its rich architectural heritage and contemporary art museum, Oradour Sur Glane, a place of remembrance, bowling and laser games in Chaillac Sur Vienne.
Completely detached house. Ground floor: living room with sitting area (folding extra bed) and open kitchen, wood-burning stove. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds (80cm) that can be combined to make a double bed (160cm), the other with a single bed (140cm). Shower room with toilet. Electric heating. Private parking.

Partis entre amis se reposer au calme, nous avons parfaitement trouver ce que nous voulions.
Alain a été super gentil, et ce tout au long du séjour quand nous avons pu le solliciter pour des questions et nous a très bien accueilli.La maison est très charmante avec un superbe pièce à vivre et une cuisine très bien équipée, le jardin est également très mignon avec les fleurs qui ornent la pergola.
La maison est par ailleurs facilement accessible, même sans voiture, elle se trouve en effet à 20 minutes du village de Saint-Brice-Sur-Vienne (ou il y a notamment une boulangerie, un tabac et une petite supérette autonome) qui dispose d'un train le reliant à Limoges.
Nous avions une légère crainte face à la proximité de la voie de chemin de fer mais finalement nous ne l'avons presque pas remarqué au cours de notre séjour, le train est très petit en plus du fait qu'il ne fasse que très peu de bruit.
Pour ceux qui souhaiteraient voir plus des alentours, il y a à disposition dans la maison des petits livrets expliquant quels sont les activités que nous pouvons faire dans la région

NOUS AVONS PASSE UN AGREABLE SEJOUR DANS LE GITE DU DU VIEIL ORME, AU CALME ET BIEN AMENEGER.UN PETIT CHEMEIN DE PROMENEDE PASSE JUSTE A COTE, PLUS LA RIVIERE A QUELQUE METRES AVEC CE BRUIT D'EAU QUE L'ON PERCOIT JUSQU'AU GITE. MERCI AU PROPRIETAIRE POUR SON AGREABLE ACCUEIL, NOUS REVIENDRONS DANS CE GITE, POUR CE RESSOURCER RIEN DE MIEUX

Excellent séjour dans ce gîte joliment rénové, bien équipé, idéalement situé au calme, ombragé. La proximité de la rivière rajoute au charme de ce lieu. Quant à la voie ferrée le désagrément est insignifiant. Accueil très sympathique de notre hôte. Excellent rapport qualité/prix.

Marie Gîte au bord de l'eau
Le gîte est idéalement situé à 50m de la rivière avec possibilité de se baigner en pleine nature (petite plage sauvage). On y accède par un joli petit chemin. Le jardin est très agréable avec des arbres exotiques et on trouve dans ce gîte tout ce dont on a besoin. Mention spéciale pour l'accueil et la disponibilité du propriétaire.

Propriétaire très sympathique
Gîte très bien équipé, fonctionnel et confortable et très calme
L’extérieur très agréable et la terrasse peut être très ombragée grâce à la pergola (idéal en cas de forte chaleur)
