Located in the heart of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park, this detached house—ideally situated on the shores of Lake Saint-Mathieu—is the former home of Fabrice’s grandparents, which he chose to renovate to preserve the family’s history. This renovation, carried out with particular attention to the environment, prioritizes sustainable and bio-based materials to combine the character of the historic building with modern comfort.
Designed for travelers seeking authenticity without sacrificing wellbeing, the house offers excellent thermal comfort in the summer thanks to bio-based insulation that provides a thermal time lag of several hours. Combined with the natural thermal mass of the stone walls and the fact that part of the building is semi-underground, this helps maintain a pleasant coolness, even on the hottest days.
The decor, inspired by the “Countryside chic” style, creates an atmosphere perfect for relaxation.
Outside, the wooden deck and its pergola naturally extend the living spaces and offer an unobstructed view of the Limousin countryside. At the end of the day, settle in comfortably to watch the sun set over the Lake!

Area: 70 m². Ground floor: living room with kitchenette and sitting area, bathroom, separate toilet in the bathroom. First floor: 2 bedrooms (2 90-cm beds that can be joined to form a 180-cm bed, 1 140-cm bed). Central heating. The holiday cottage does not have Wi-Fi.
