In the very south of the département, in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord Limousin, the old Champagnac railway station is reached via a small road with no other exit. La Gare aux Oiseaux has been renovated to retain its original character, while adding charm and comfort. It opens onto a flower-filled lawn with an 8x4 m swimming pool open from May to the end of September (unheated). At the rear, the Holiday cottage is bordered by a green lane that evolved from the old railroad line. Quiet and shaded, the 13 km route is ideal for family walks, Hiking and discovering the rolling Countryside and its rich heritage: Château de Châlus Chabrol, Tardoire valley, hemp drying shed, washhouse....
On the ground floor: large living room with kitchen and pantry, laundry room, restroom, and a comfortable living room with a TV. Upstairs: 3 bedrooms (3 double beds, 160 cm wide), two with a shower room and restroom, one with a bathroom and restroom, all with TVs. On the landing, there is a sitting area. On the second floor: 3 bedrooms, one with 1 double bed (160 cm), another with 2 single beds (90 cm), and the third with 4 single beds (90 cm), plus a shower room with a toilet. Gas heating. Foosball table, board games… Catering service available by reservation (appetizers, desserts, etc.).
Regulations governing establishments open to the public (ERP) do not permit exceeding the maximum capacity (including kids and infants).

Frugier Magnifique Gîte dans le limousin
La gare aux oiseaux est un magnifique gîte aménagé avec goût. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie confortable. L extérieur est charmant avec de belles balades à faire le long de la voie ferrée. Le gîte est très spacieux et permet de se mettre à l abri en cas de mauvais temps. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Les rochelais Séjour en Limousin
La gare aux oiseaux mérite pleinement son nom, l'air est empli du chant des oiseaux tout au long de la journée. La propriétaire est très accueillante, et le gîte très agréable avec son vaste jardin. La piscine offre un rafraîchissement apprécié par temps de canicule. Les possibilités de randonnées sont multiples et variées dans cette région magnifique qu'est le Limousin. A recommander absolument.

Très bon séjour à la Gare aux Oiseaux. Le gite était très confortable pour nos 3 familles avec enfants/ados. Superbe déco, équipements haut de gamme dans la maison et le jardin. La météo estivale nous a permis de profiter de la piscine, ainsi que des nombreux chemins de balade alentours.

Gite spacieux et très agréable ! L’ancienne voie qui longe la gare est très bien aménagée et nous en avons profité en piéton vue la saison hivernale.
Parfait pour des réunions de familles ou d’amis avec bcp d’espace et l’étage « dortoir » facilite l’organisation des enfants mais pas les couchers ! ;)- Cleanliness
