Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
The 10th generation of entrepreneurs to succeed one another on the estate, Romain and Maëlis de Sèze left their professional activities in 2018 to take full charge of the family château de Bort and Holiday cottages.
Listed on the Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques, this 19th-century neo-Gothic château lies at the heart of a magnificent 80-hectare landscaped park. Carefully maintained from generation to generation, you'll be transported back in time amidst period furniture, tapestries and silks. Family history is omnipresent, as evidenced by the many objects and portraits that adorn the rooms. You won't find a sanitized atmosphere here, but will be welcomed as a guest, in an atmosphere worthy of Jane Austen's novels...
A table d'hôtes is offered in the form of a cold meal (single menu) served in a basket to be enjoyed at a table in front of the château, by the pond or freely in the park.
After climbing the imposing white staircase adorned with numerous carved animal decorations, you'll enter the vast corridor leading to 2 bedrooms: the Chambre des Isles, and the Chambre Mauve. Each can accommodate 2 people and has its own private bathroom. They have been carefully restored to preserve as many of their original features as possible. This is evidenced by the beautiful 19th-century silks, parquet floors and numerous family heirlooms steeped in history. On the 2nd floor, via a different staircase, the La Tour family suite (65 m²) has a cosy, old-world feel and comprises 3 bedrooms (each with a washbasin) and a bathroom. Separate WC. One for 2 people with a 160cm bed, located in the tower, offers a magnificent view of the park, one with 2 90cm twin beds and one with 2 80cm twin beds. Breakfast is served in the imposing dining room with antique crockery and silverware. Rooms not suitable for young Kids

Kate Smith What a privilege!
What a magnificent place! We felt very privileged to be welcomed into such a beautiful home, and to be able to stay in the corner tower with a glorious view over the countryside.
In particular we enjoyed the splendid breakfast with silver coffee pot and linen napkins, and also the interesting history of the chateau.
We were in the family suite, which worked perfectly for me and my husband in the double tower room and my two adult children who had a room each, and we shared a WC and a separate shower room.
We ate nearby (about 20 mins away) at Les Tables du Bistrot which our host had recommended and was splendid.
I would completely commend the chateau as a marvellous experience.- Cleanliness
