Former 18th-century presbytery, adjoining the library and facing the collegiate church of Pope Clement V, the bells are ringing.
Two steps lead up to the Holiday cottage, which has a semi-enclosed garden, 2 deckchairs, a bike rack and a plancha available on request (€50 deposit required). Parking is 30m away along the arborétum (Kids' play area: a spider from 36 months under parental supervision, and a spring swing).
First floor: kitchen (microwave)/dining/living room. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms (2 beds 90, 1 bed 140), shower room/WC. Electric heating. Bed linen and towels provided, kitchen linen optional. End-of-stay cleaning optional. Baby bed and high chair on request. Tourist tax extra. Cycle path in the commune. The Festival Musical d'Uzeste takes place every year in mid-August.
Bakery, butcher's shop and bar selling local produce 600 m from the village.

un joli gite accueillant

Le gite du prieuré d'Uzeste est très agréable et bien équipé. Entouré d'un beau parc arboré, peuplé d'oiseaux, avec la majestueuse collégiale d'Uzeste en vue.
Le gite municipal est géré par une équipe de bénévoles efficace et très sympathique.

All that jazz !

Le gîte, bien conçu hormis la salle de bain, aurait besoin d'un bon lifting, car l'aménagement fatigue et bien des recoins sont oubliés par la conciergerie qui facture pourtant cher. Comme ailleurs, le propriétaire devrait séjourner quelques jours dans son gîte, il y répérerait les incommodités... C'est un peu dommage car le gîte dans son ensemble et l'endroit - notamment de proposer un festival de jazz à chaque saison - sont de beaux atouts.
