Located in the Périgord Vert, in the heart of the Double Forest, Saint-Vincent-Jalmoutiers is an ideal destination for lovers of nature, history, and outdoor activities. Crossed by the Rizonne River, this village offers the perfect setting for hiking, biking, and exploring the unspoiled landscapes of the Dordogne.
Visitors can explore the 11th-century Romanesque church of Saint-Vincent, part of the Val de Dronne Romanesque church circuit, as well as the Parc des Doublorigènes, a unique arboretum blending art, nature, and imagination.
Just a few minutes away, Saint-Aulaye-Puymangou charms visitors with its fortified town, its beach on the Dronne River, its water sports, and its summer market. The listed village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, invites you to explore its monolithic church and its charming narrow streets.
The local markets in Saint-Aulaye, Ribérac, and La Roche-Chalais offer the chance to meet local producers and savor the specialties of the Périgord. With its fine dining, heritage, hiking trails, and excursions to the Vineyards of Saint-Émilion, Saint-Vincent-Jalmoutiers is an excellent starting point for exploring western Dordogne.
