You'll be off the beaten track, but just a stone's throw from magnificent hiking trails, the Vézère valley, cradle of prehistory (Centre International de l'Art Pariétal Lascaux 4 in Montignac 35 km, Les Eyzies de Tayac 7 km, Rouffignac...), the Dordogne valley and its medieval castles, Sarlat 28 km, a medieval city with an exceptional heritage, and numerous villages classified as "les plus beaux villages de France". But you'll also take the time to discover that gastronomy is inextricably linked to the image of Périgord. Soups, terrines, truffle omelettes, simmered dishes, desserts... cooking is an art that is particularly well cultivated here.
